Marcus wins at rematch, lewis doesn't fall into despair again. He has grown and sees marcus knows nothing else, and let's him have his moment. As lewis was a gracious loser this time round, marcus doesn't really feel that he has won. So regardless of actual result lewis has grown and won self worth, marcus is still a lost boy.
