The situation of obtaining planning permission in Azerbaijan completely differs from the one in United Kingdom. Since the Azerbaijan is at the top of corrupted countries, the bribery among officials is thriving, doing the construction the most vulnerable infrastructure. The regulations stated in the Act are not abided by, and inspections of the plots are not conducted either. The real situation within the Azerbaijan is that the construction is the just way of earning money, endangering the lives of citizens by using inexpensive and low-quality materials in the structures. The dwelling’s collapses are barometer of the neglectful attitude to construction in the state. Another ridiculous point is that the fees for planning permission are hundred or thousand times more than in United Kingdom, for instance to acquire planning permission for residential building, about 500000 dollars will be required. In addition, in some cases the erection of building is initiated without any planning permission as well as apartment are sold at the early stage of construction.
